Interventional echocardiography

This year Martyn Thomas introduced transcatheter mitral valve techniques using the Mitraclip and the Monarch coronary sinus device. 


Jane Hancock and Stam Kapetanakis have provided the transoesophageal and intracardiac echocardiographic guidance for these. 
The programme of percutaneous patent foramen ovale closures has evolved performed mainly by Brian Clapp with echocardiographic guidance from Jane Hancock and follow-up by Michelle Navales in a new sonographer-led  bubble clinic .
